To get a clean, flawless embroidery sew-out, the digitizing process must start with high-quality input. Here is how you can prepare your logo for the best results:
Preparation Checklist
- Provide Clean Artwork: High-resolution PNGs, JPGs, or vector files (AI, EPS, SVG) are ideal. The clearer the details, the more accurate the stitches will be.
- Specify Dimensions: State the exact width or height you want the final embroidery to be. A logo sized for a hat front (typically 2.25 inches tall) is digitized differently than a logo for a jacket back (typically 10 inches wide).
- Indicate Fabric Type: Different fabrics require different digitizing settings. A file optimized for pique polos has different pull compensation and underlay than a file for fleece hoodies, caps, or thin nylon.
- Simplify Small Text: Letters smaller than 0.2 inches (5mm) tall do not embroider well and may need to be slightly enlarged or simplified for readability.
